راس الخیمہ میں دیوالی مشاعرہ

یو اے ای میں مشاعرروں اور ادبی نشستوں کی روایت تیزی سے آگے بڑھ رہی ہے۔اب یہاں کی تمام ریاستوں میں مشاعرے  منعقد ہوتے ہیں اور لوگ زوق و شوق سے اس میں شرکت کرتے ہیں ۔رام سرسوت  نے شارجہ میں عید ملن مشاعرے کی صدارت کی

تودیوالی کے موقع پر وہ گھر میں مشاعرے کا انعقاد کرنا کیسے بھول سکتے تھے۔اس سلسلے میں ان کی بیگم صاحبہ بھی پیش پیش تھیں۔

Ladies and gentlemen,

It is wonderful and interesting experience to speak with a good mix of people from different parts of the subcontinent.

We all agree that there is an urgent need of unity, genuine peace and honesty. The wisdom of collective responsibility is the matter of utmost significance. Exercise of drawing our vision of the interconnectedness between each of us across the globe was never felt before as it is necessary today. And it is not so difficult also as long as our aims are identical and our hearts are open.   

The vibrant, inspiring and thoughtful views expressed by all the speakers and poets show that the spirit of taking the time to understand, value and care other’s point of view is still alive. I would like to say with full confidence that there is still goodness in the society and all is not lost yet.

And the initiative taken by all of you on the invitation of Mr. Ram Saraswat is equally appreciable. We all individuals are same and equal. And it is our collective obligation that we all behave with each other like brothers.

As practiced by our forefathers centuries ago, we should always believe in the concept of   

“ Servey bhavantu sukhinah, servey santu niramaya

Servey bhadraani pashyantu ma kashchit dhukha – bhaag bhavet.

(May all be happy and all be healthy, May be prosperous, May none suffer.)

Working life is busy enough mainly in foreign land. But networking with your social peers to keep abreast of important developments in the society is as important as ever. Your focused initiatives show that a condensed and brotherly get together gives an opportunity to do all this.

Deeds determine ones place in society. Evil deed are easy to do, Good deed are difficult but yield highest reward.  The meeting place is merely a microcosm of society. It reflects society's advances and shortcomings.

Developing a satisfying and brotherly environment does not happen by chance. It hinges on a cumulative ability to provide all society members with a meeting place that fosters innovation in ideas and thoughts. To determine how well that strategy can work, this gathering is evidence.

 The example set by our forefathers was based upon deep evidence and introspection, aided by mind and body control. They heralded the message and ascertained the eventual authenticity in declaring “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.” Vasudha means the Earth, Kutumbakam means family, so exactly” the whole world is just one family.” It now falls upon us as the successors of our forefathers to succeed them and carry on their work further.

This idea, first followed and sermonized in ancient days, is so intensely in need today. Hence, in this world divided by unnatural walls, discord and violence, let the word go forth from this beautiful cultural gathering.
